Live the Look

I don't know about you, but I often find myself wishing I had a personal stylist. On a good, productive day, I'll actually take the time to choose my outfit for the following day-- other than that, it's grab-and-go come morning. Fortunately for me, a website exists to curate a few outfits for me depending on what's currently in my closet and what style I feel like expressing.

Live the Look is an e-commerce website that pairs online shopping with a personal experience. Founded by former Twitter fashion marketing executive, Francesca Helina, Live the Look provides complete outfit ensembles to users based on the basic items they own in their closet, along with their personal style preferences.

I feel like my style is pretty versatile-- some days, I'll wear a black dress with minimal jewelry and pumps to work. Other days, I'll wear a striped skirt with a white ribbed tank top tucked in, with a bubble necklace and sandals. Lady-like one day, preppy the next. So, naturally, I was a little unsure of what to expect from Live the Look.

The website experience is extremely user friendly. From the home page, Live the Look guides the user through each step, first asking the user to select basic items owned and size options, then preferred styles.

Once the user has completed these steps and has created an account, the website puts together looks based on her personal choices and allows her to add the suggested items straight to the cart and check out.

Because each item is shipped directly from the retailer, the shipping fee reflects the total of each retailer's shipping rate, and items take approximately 1-3 days to ship.

You can check out Live the Look for yourself by visiting the website at www.livethelook.com

I've got my eye on the above ensemble, but am feeling a little guilty shopping for myself during the holidays when I should be shopping for family and friends! What do you think-- should I go for it?
