I love the look of a sophisticated manicure. You know, one that catches the eye but doesn't scream, 'Hey, look at me!' Not to mention, some workplaces don't allow for those neon-bright or glitter-tastic fingernails. This week's look of the day combines three neutral OPI Liquid Sand colors to create the perfect 'studded,' but subtle, manicure.
The three OPI Liquid Sand colors I chose were:
- It's All San Andreas's Fault (Fall 2013 San Francisco Collection), a creamy taupe;
- Vesper (The Bond Girls Collection), a deep, rich purple;
- Honey Ryder (The Bond Girls Collection), a shimmery gold.
For the accent nails (ring and thumb), I applied two coats of Vesper onto each nail. On the others, I applied two coats of It's All San Andreas's Fault. After the polish dried completely, I dipped a dotting tool (if you don't own one, you can use a bobby pin!) into Honey Ryder and created three gold 'studs' along the curve of each nail.
Pretty simple design, right? You can wear OPI Liquid Sand polish with or without a top coat-- I choose to wear it without, so I can enjoy the fun, sandy texture :)
