After a recent blogger dinner at Ocean Hai at the Wyndham Grand on Clearwater Beach, I am absolutely blown away by the gorgeous Asian fusion dishes. With most hotel restaurants, at least for me personally, they tend to be a one and done type visit, but I am for sure that I will be returning again and again to experience more of Chef John Capponi's creations. We started off the evening with cocktails and light bites by the pool, with live music playing, courtesy of country musician Aubrey Wollett. After meeting and mingling with fellow food bloggers and Instagrammers in the Tampa Bay area, we watched the sun set from right outside of the restaurant.
After the sun set and we stepped into the restaurant, a group of us opted to sit community-style in the restaurant, bonding over our mutual love for food over the beautiful, delicious dishes that we ordered.
Chef Capponi is doing fantastic things over at Ocean Hai - never have I ever seen such gorgeous plating that makes food so difficult to eat. But the combination of flavors and textures is not one to be missed, and is very much worth digging into each and every bite.
