Live in the Sunshine

Dress: c/o Make Me Chic | Heels: c/o JBU by Jambu | Belt: Forever 21 | Sunglasses: 7 for All Mankind (similar)

I'm excited to share this look with you, because I feel like it is me truly stepping out of my comfort zone (and into the sunshine) - before this moment, I'd never confidently worn the color yellow. I always felt like yellow was too bright, and that it didn't complement my skin tone. When starting to write the style portion of this blog, I promised myself that I would step out of my fashion comfort zone more - wear brighter colors, mix prints, try to incorporate more form-fitting clothing in a sophisticated way, etc. So here it is, folks - me, confidently strutting in a bright, canary yellow shift dress in the most comfortable heels I've ever worn.

I've fallen in love with these gray block heels from Jambu's JBU Spring 2017 collection - they're stylish and ultra-comfortable, and you know I love when fashion meets function. They are perfect for walking around while doing media tours and visits at the hospital, and can easily transition from a work day to a night out. Not to mention, the color goes with everything, especially this pretty laser-cut frock from Make Me Chic. Your feetsies will definitely notice the difference, and here's an extra perk for you - get 10% off of your purchase (valid only on full-priced items) at by using the code JENN10 at checkout!

How will you step outside of your comfort zone when it comes to your style? Is there a certain color that you've sworn off that you're willing to give a second try?
