Local Bites: Sweet Tomatoes x Feeding Tampa Bay
When it comes to being the OG of deliciously reliable places I’ve eaten at in my lifetime, Sweet Tomatoes wins, easily. When I was growing up, Sweet Tomatoes was always where my family would go when we were craving really good soup, salad and everything in between, and still today, pH and I love visiting the Brandon and South Tampa locations to get our soup and salad fix.
Among my favorites things to get? The Wonton Happiness Salad with a side of raw broccoli and a mixture of Creamy Italian and House-Made Ranch for dipping, a cup (or two!) of Yankee Clipper Clam Chowder with Bacon, a hearty helping of Classic Macaroni & Cheese with a dash of chili flakes on top, a slice of Cheesy Garlic Foccacia and a bowl of Chocolate Soft Serve.
Right now, Sweet Tomatoes is partnering with Feeding America for The Better Neighbor Project in an effort to help end hunger in our communities. When you visit a local Sweet Tomatoes in the Tampa Bay area, consider donating $1 to provide 10 meals to those who struggle with hunger, through Feeding Tampa Bay.
