In Review: Three Days, Two Nights at Universal's Aventura Hotel

Just before the hustle and bustle of the holiday season began, pH and I had the opportunity to spend two nights at Universal Orlando Resort’s newest hotel property, Universal’s Aventura Hotel. This on-site hotel very recently opened in August of 2018, offering a modern, stylish ambiance, sweeping views and enviable dining options.

I cannot rave enough about our stay at Universal’s Aventura Hotel. First impression? The view from our room was breathtaking, during the day and even more so at night.

Both pH and I consider ourselves tech cadets, so it was really neat to be able to experience the convenience of staying in a “smart” room - the TV, lighting and A/C, along with Internet capabilities and in-room services were all able to be controlled via an iPad in the room.

It was a treat for us to be able to enjoy this staycation, especially since the last part of the year is typically a hectic time for the both of us. We enjoyed an incredible night’s sleep both nights that we were there, a feat that is typically hard for me to accomplish on a normal night.

Exploring the property led to some delicious finds - in addition to a full-service Starbucks coffee, Universal’s Aventura Hotel also boasts a food hall (this is unique to any hotel I’ve ever been to before) featuring a variety of eats, including wok, burger, roast and pizza stations.

I built my own noodle bowl, with veggies, skirt steak, ramen and a savory chicken broth.

Two other dining venues we uncovered were Bar Sol, a pool bar serving up frozen drinks, cocktails, beer and wine by the pool, and Bar 17 Bistro, offering stunning views and delicious dishes atop Universal Aventura Hotel’s rooftop.

A favorite perk of pH’s was the Virtual Reality Game Room - he’s a huge fan of all things gaming and has always been intrigued by VR technology. He got to immerse himself (literally) in the fun, and loved the experience!

During our stay, we also got the opportunity to live our inner kid and best life at both Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. I’m not personally a fan of roller coasters, but we still seriously had such a fun time exploring the parks and reveling in all the sights and sounds.

We truly had such a wonderful time staying at Universal’s Aventura Hotel, and we cannot wait to come back. In addition to an incredible Florida resident rate starting at $104 per night, you get all the perks that come with staying at a Universal Orlando Resort hotel, including early park admission to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universal’s Volcano Bay, free shuttles between the hotel and parks, priority seating at select Universal Orlando restaurants, and so much more. I absolutely recommend staying at Universal’s Aventura Hotel the next time you’re craving a staycation or time away with the family.

Until next time!
